Nina (Allan) Brydges (1851-1922)

Mrs "Nina" Jean Crawford (Allan) Mackenzie, Brydges

She was born at Montreal. Nina was first married to William Mackenzie, of Montreal, and on paper they had four children but the younger two were in fact the result of her affair with Frederick Henderson Brydges. In 1876, while still married to Mr Mackenzie, she and Brydges eloped to the United States. In 1877, she divorced her first husband and married Mr Brydges in Boston before moving with him to Winnipeg. She had two more children with Mr Brydges and he adopted his two children by her born while she was married to Mackenzie, taking their rightful name, "Brydges".
