George Stewart Brown (1834-1890)
Brigadier-General George S. Brown, of Brown & Sons, Bankers, of Baltimore
He succeeded his father as head of the family banking firm, Brown & Sons, which by the time of his death was established in Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York & London. He died leaving an estate of over $2 million. His principal heir was his only child, Alexander, who also inherited both 712 Cathedral Street and Mondawmin.
