Arthur Middleton (1681-1737)
of "The Oaks" & "Crowfield" Plantations; Royal Governor of South Carolina
He married Sarah Amory in 1706. They had eight children together, of whom only three sons (listed) would live to adulthood. Aside from The Oaks and Crowfield in South Carolina, he also owned Crowfield Hall in Suffolk, England.
