Anne (McCall) Willing (1745-1781)

Mrs Ann (McCall) Willing

She was married in 1763 to Thomas Willing, one of the most influential men in Philadelphia, and she was a first cousin of Mrs Mary (McCall) Cadwalader. They lived on 3rd Street (see images) and were the parents of eight children who lived to adulthood: (1) Ann, married William Bingham, and they were the undisputed power couple of Revolutionary America living between the Bingham Mansion and Lansdowne (2) Thomas Mayne Willing, married Jane Nixon (3) Elizabeth, married William Jackson (4) Mary, married Henry Clymer (5) Dorothy married her first cousin, Thomas Willing Francis (6) George Willing married first Maria Benezet and second her stepsister, Rebecca Harrison Blackwell (7) Richard, married Eliza Lloyd Moore, first cousin of the Duchess of Plaisance (8) Abigail, married Richard Peters.
