Robert Griswold (1806-1882)

Ship's Captain with the Griswold Line; retired to Old Lyme, Connecticut

He retired from the sea and in 1841 purchased the Noyes Mansion (see images) at Old Lyme from Richard Ely. It was built in 1817 for his brother's father-in-law, William Noyes.
