Mrs Miriam Clarke (Mason) Sears

She was married in 1809 to David Sears, Massachusetts States Senator. They lived between Beacon Street in Boston and "Red Cross" at Newport. They were the parents of eight children who survived to adulthood: (1) Anna, Mrs William Amory (2) Harriet, Mrs George Caspar Crowninshield (3) Miriam, died unmarried (4) Ellen, Mme. Gonzalve Grand d'Hauteville (5) David, married Emily Hoyt (6) Frederick, married Marian Shaw, then Albertina Homer Shelton (7) Grace, married William Cabell Rives Jr., of Cobham Park, Virginia (8) Knyvet, married Mary Crowninshield Peabody.
