Mamie Fish (1853-1915)

Mrs "Mamie" Marion Graves (Anthon) Fish, Gilded Age Society Hostess

She was one of the three leading society hostesses of the Gilded Age, known for her sense of fun and rapier wit. She also loathed long, drawn out dinners and so perfected "the fifty minute dinner". She and her husband had known one another since childhood and remained devoted to one another throughout their lives.
