Leonard Jerome of New York "The King of Wall Street"

He established "Jerome Park," a racetrack on an estate at Fordham in the Bronx and organized the first meeting of the New York Jockey Club in September, 1866. Among the members of that first meeting were August Belmont, Boss Tweed, Ulysses S. Grant, and J. Gordon Bennett.
