Henry Rozier (1725-1802)
of "Notley Hall" Prince George's County, Maryland
He was educated in Europe and on returning to America founded the Mississippi Land Company along with Benedict Calvert, William and Robert Brent, the Lees and FitzHughs of Virginia, and the Carrolls of Maryland. The purpose was to develop territory in Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois. He married Eleanor Neale and had four children: Notley, Henry, Edward, and Thomas.
