Edgar Thomas Scott (1871-1918)

General Edgar T. Scott, of "Woodburne" Pennsylvania & "Chiltern" Bar Harbor

He was born in Philadelphia, the son of the 4th President of the Pennsylvania Railroad. He lived between a 52-bedroom mansion on Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia, and "Chiltern" at Bar Harbor, Maine. He was 2nd Secretary to the U.S. Embassy in Paris. During World War I, he was appointed Inspector-General of the American Expeditionary Force at General Headquarters and died at Chaumont.
