Mrs. Catherine (Van Zandt) Maxwell

She was an eye witness of the Battle of Monmouth and one of the leading belles at the Republican Court, having the honor of opening the Inauguration Ball as the dancing partner of George Washington. In 1787, she married William H. Maxwell.
