Alexander Forsyth (1758-1845)

Alexander Forsyth, Silk Manufacturer, of Dunbennan, Huntly, Aberdeenshire

He and his brother, William, continued the family business as a silk manufacturer at Huntly and he lived at Dunbennan farm. He and his wife were the parents of six surviving children. Three of their sons (William, Osbert and George) were merchants in London and their only daughter to marry was the wife of William Wemyss (1776-1862), Deputy Commissary-General to the Forces.
