William Penn IV (1703-1746)

of Shanagarry Castle, Co. Cork, and Penn's Rocks, East Sussex

He was born in Sussex, married twice, and had two children. From his daughter, Christiana, descends the Penn-Gaskell branch of the Founder's family. After the death of his elder brother he inherited both Shanagarry and the Rocks estate in Sussex, which he enlarged 1737-40. From 1736 (the year he married his second wife) he lived principally in Ireland at Shanagarry Castle, Co. Cork, where he died.
