William Craig Chaplin (1882-1949)

William Craig Chaplin, of "Ellenborough" Maryland

He was born and educated in Pittsburgh. He succeeded his father as Treasurer of the Chaplin-Fulton Manufacturing Company. In 1914, he married Margaret Curry, and they first lived on Broad Street, Sewickley, Pennsylvania. In 1928, they built Ellenborough, recognized today as the home of the Cleary family in the popular movie Wedding Crashers. William and Margaret adopted two daughters: Margaret, Mrs Merrick, Lively; and, Kitty, Mrs Spurry, Hazen, Martin.
