Kitty Chaplin (1923-2014)

Mrs Kitty (Chaplin) Spurry, Hazen, Martin

She was adopted by her parents as a baby and grew up at Ellenborough (the house that features in the movie Wedding Crashers). She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross for 54-years, receiving among others the Clara Barton Award in 2002 and the President’s Call to Service Award in 2009. She was predeceased by all three of her husbands: James B. Spurry, William G. Hazen Jr. and Eugene P. Martin.
