Rev. William Augustus McVickar (1827-1877)
Rev. Dr. William Augustus McVickar, D.D. Rector of Christ Church, New York
He was born in New York City and graduated from Columbia College (1846) and the General Theological Seminary (1849). He became successively Rector at Morristown, N.J., and at Dobbs Ferry and Irvington, N.Y.; then of the American Chapel at Nice, France; and, Rector of Christ Church, New York City (1868-1877).
