Wiliam Henry Pendleton (1837-1887)
William H. Pendleton, President of the Staten Island Ferry Co., New York
He made his home at New Brighton, Staten Island, where he invested in property and was the first President of the Staten Island Ferry Company. In 1872, he sold his land to Anson Phelps Stokes and retired to St. Petersburg in Florida. In 1863, he married Rebecca, daughter of David and Ann (Foster) Ogden, and had 9-children.
