Thomas Urquhart (1773-1841)

Coffee Merchant & Planter; President of the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce

He was born in Baton Rouge which was then a British Province. He became a coffee merchant, planter and importer. He served in Legislature in 1814-15, was President of the Chamber of Commerce and a Signer of the Louisiana Purchase. He married Caroline Trudeau and they were the parents of five children (listed).
