Thomas Handasyd Perkins (1796-1850)

Col. "Short-Arm Tom" Thomas Handasyd Perkins, Jr.

He was an officer of the Liberal Army of Columbia. He was promoted to Lt.-Colonel of the Bolivar Rifles in 1818 and was appointed Chief of Staff to Major-General Devereux. His estate was valued at $300,000 in 1848, taking into consideration that his father (then worth $1.5-million) was still alive. He married Jane, daughter of James Dumaresq and they had five children (listed).
