Sylvie Alexandrine de Grasse (1774-1855)
Mme. Sylvie Alexandrine Maxime (de Grasse) de Pau, of New York City
She was the youngest daughter of the famous French Admiral, the Comte de Grasse. In 1798, at Charleston, South Carolina, she married Francis de Pau, a major slave trader. She died at her home, 2 DePau Row, New York City.
