Sarah (Bache) Sergeant (1788-1863)

Mrs Sarah Franklin (Bache) Sergeant

She was a grand-daughter of the Founding Father and polymath Benjamin Franklin. She married Thomas Sergeant, Supreme Court Justice and Attorney-General of Pennsylvania, etc. They were the parents of four children of whom three (listed above) survived to adulthood. Their two sons died without children and their line is continued through their daughter who married Brigadier-General Christopher Grant Perry, son of the hero of the War of 1812, Oliver Hazard Perry, U.S.N.
