Roderick Tower (1892-1961)

Roderick Tower, Stockbroker, of New York City & Locust Valley, Long Island

He was born in Philadelphia. He graduated from Harvard (1915) and became a Member of the New York Stock Exchange and an oil broker. He kept an estate at Ardmore, Pennsylvania, and committed suicide at his home on Horse Hollow Road in Locust Valley, Long Island. He was married three times. His first wife, Flora Payne Whitney, was the daughter and heiress of Mrs Gertrude (Vanderbilt) Whitney.
