Robert Ray (1794-1879)

Merchant, of Prime, Ward & King, New York City

He initially lived in a mansion at 17 Broadway (see images) before building another on land left to him by his father opposite the Church of the Holy Apostles. He married Cornelia, daughter of Nathaniel Prime, 1st President of the New York Stock Exchange.
