Robert Linlithgow Livingston (1921-1971)
of New Orleans, and afterwards Spain
He was brought up in France but returned to the United States during World War II, attending Colorado College in Colorado Springs, and he was married by 1943. He spent a few years in Tuxedo Park, New York, before taking a job as a salesman for National Distillers in New Orleans. However, he was an alcoholic, and in 1950 he divorced his wife and fled to Spain to avoid paying alimony. He had two children.
