Robert Crommelin (1717-1789)

of Queen (Pearl) Street, New York City; Vestryman of Trinity Church

He lived between New York and Flushing, Long Island. In his will, he left his wife his mansion house and, "as. many black servants as she shall choose to wait upon her"; also, his chariot, chaise and horses and, "all the negro slaves that did belong to her before marriage," as well as £300 annually. His wife was called Elizabeth but her surname is not known. They didn't have any children and he left an additional £1,000 to the Episcopal Church at Flushing.
