Oliver Harriman (1829-1904)

of Low, Harriman & Co., Dry Goods Merchants, New York

He was the uncle of the railroad tycoon, E.H. Harriman. Oliver and his father-in-law founded "one of the best known and wealthiest" dry goods firms in New York City. He left an estate valued at $20 million.
