Nathan Warren (1777-1834)
Merchant, of 31 Third Street, Troy, Rensselaer Co., New York
He was a partner (1798 to 1827) in the firm of Esaias Warren & Company, Troy. He was one of the proprietors of the "Earthern Conduit Company," formed to "supply the inhabitants with water." He was on the first Board of Managers of the Troy Savings Bank in 1823. He was an original incorporator of the Troy Steamboat Company (1825), Vestryman of St. Paul's Church (1827), and in the same year erected his "Mansion House" (pictured) on the corner of Second and Albany Streets in Troy. He was an incorporator of the Troy & Bennington Turnpike Company in 1827, and an incorporator and one of the first directors of the Rensselaer & Saratoga Railroad Company in 1832.
