Mrs Muriel Emmeline (Winthrop) Boardman, Sands, Kloman

She was her parents only child and sole heiress to a million dollar-plus fortune. She married (1) In 1921, Richard de Blois Boardman, divorced (2) In 1925, Harold Aymar Sands and they remained married until his death in 1951 (3) In 1960, Antony J.T. Kloman, the portrait painter who also predeceased her. From her father she inherited Quatrel on Bellevue Avenue in Newport where she was a champion amateur equestrian. From 1938 until the death of her second husband she lived year-round at the historic Sherman Farm in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, with their four children.
