Mrs Lucy Burwell (Page) Saunders, Author, of Williamsburg, Virginia
Her book Lenora and the Ghost (1876) is a Christmas story set in a fictionalized version of her childhood home, Rosewell. Her extensive descriptions of the house are an important source of information about the interior of the Rosewell Plantation, which burned in 1916.
