Louise Squires (1876-1935)

Mrs Louise (Squires) Hoxie Clark

She was the daughter of Charles E. Squires, of Omaha, Nebraska. She lived between 11 East Sixty-Eighth Street in Manhattan and Belvidere in Allegany County, New York. On her death, her obituary stated that she had lived in New York City, "for more than twenty years and was well known for her social and philanthropic activities. She was a patron of art and a member of the advisory committee of the New York School of Applied Design for Women and the Daughters of the American Revolution". She was survived by her husband and their two adopted daughters, Elizabeth and Mary.
