Julius Ochs Adler (1892-1955)

D.S.C., Major-General in the U.S. Army & Vice-President of 'The New York Times'

He was a highly decorated General in the U.S. Army during World War II as well as being President and Publisher of The Chattanooga Times and the first Vice-President and General Manager of The New York Times from 1935 until his death in 1955. He was survived by his widow, a son, and two daughters.
