Joseph Sadoc Tobin (1868-1918)
President of the Hibernia Savings & Loan Society of San Francisco
He was a candidate for Mayor of San Francisco in 1901. Although he lost, he remained in public service, serving on the Committee of Fifty after the 1906 Earthquake and on the Board of the 1915 Panama Pacific Exposition. He became President of the Hibernia Bank and the senior partner in Tobin & Tobin (established by his father) until his death in 1919, when he was succeeded by his nephew, Cyril R. Tobin.
