Capt. John William Livingston (1754-1830)

of Hammond Street, New York; Captain with the King's Royal Rifle Corps

He was born in New York City. He graduated from Columbia University (1775) and as a Loyalist served as a Captain with the King's Royal Rifle Corps. After the Revolution he returned to New York City where he was a merchant living on Hammond Street. In 1777, he married Ann Saunders and they were the parents of several children including: (1) John, married Julia Broome (2) Eliza, married William Turk (3) Maria, married Christopher Beakley (4) Caroline, married Ernest Barsche (5) Catherine, married Mariano Velasquez de la Cadena.
