John Vincent (c.1660-1735)

of Mardyke; Sheriff and Mayor of the City of Limerick

He was the son of Rev. William Vincent (1625-1683) of Enniskillen by his wife, Elizabeth Ryves. He came to Limerick and was appointed Sheriff in 1696, and twice served as Mayor (1703 and 1727). He bought lands for £1,189 in the 1703 sales. In 1687, he married Phoebe, widow of John Higginbotham, Chancellor of Limerick.
