John Richards (1737-1819)
John Richards, of North House, Hambledon; Sheriff of Hampshire
He was born in Edmonton, Middlesex. He was the son of John Richards (b.1709) and Dorothy Gaillard. He moved to North House at Hambledon in Catherington Parish. He was Sheriff of Hampshire, Master of the Hambledon Hounds, and Governor of Christ's Hospital. He married the cousin of the artist John Downman.
