John Nelson (1653-1734)

Merchant & Fur Trader, of Boston, Massachusetts

He was the principal heir of his childless uncle, Sir Thomas Temple, 1st Bt., of Boston and London, Governor of Nova Scotia, and came out to Massachusetts in 1734. He was a first cousin of Thomas Temple, of Kennebec, Maine. He married Elizabeth, daughter of William Tailer/Taylor, of Dorchester, near Boston, and she was a niece through her mother of Governor William Stoughton. They had 6-children (listed).
