John de Cuevas (1930-2018)
Puzzle Creator & Environmentalist, of Amagansett, L.I. & Cambridge, Massachusetts
He was married three times. In 1951, he married his childhood friend, Phyllis Nahl (later Mrs. Van Wyck). They divorced but remained lifelong friends. In 1962, he married Sylvia Maria Bartucci in Manhattan, and they had one daughter, Margaret de Cuevas of Baltimore and Amagansett. They divorced, but also remained friends. In 1988, he married Sue Lonoff in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She and her daughter from a previous relationship, Jennifer Lonoff Schiff, survived him.
