John Blackwood Forsyth (1805-1891)
John Blackwood Forsyth, Attorney, of Montreal & Leamington
He was born in Montreal and was educated in England at Tonbridge School (1815-1821). He was the younger brother of William Forsyth-Grant of Ecclesgreig Castle, Kincardineshire. Following his education, he returned to Montreal where he practiced as an Attorney for many years before eventually retiring to Leamington in England where he died. He married Mary, daughter of Samuel Gerrard, President of the Bank of Montreal, and they were the parents of four children (listed above).
