Jerome-Napoléon Bonaparte (1784-1860)

King Jérôme I of Westphalia; Marshall of France; President of the Senate

He was born at Ajaccio, Corsica, and was the youngest brother of the Emperor Napoleon. There is often a confusion over whether it was Jerome or his elder brother, Joseph, who lived at the Château de Villandry, but it was in fact Jerome who purchased it and lived there. From 1831, he lived with his family in Florence, Italy, at the Palazzo Serristori before moving into the Palazzo Orlandini. He was married three times and was the father of four legitimate children and two illegitimate sons.
