Jacques Desbrosses (b.1667)

Jacques Desbrosses, of Hanover Square, New York

He was a Huguenot from Poitou, France, who came to New York and was engaged in the wine and Madeira trade. At New York, October, 1702, he married Helene, daughter of the prominent physician Dr Gilles Gaudineau, another Hugeunot who settled in New York. His widow continued to run his business after his death.
