Jacob Parish (1762-1841)

Jacob Parrish/Parish, Quaker Storekeeper, of Coxsackie, New York

He was the father of nine children, of whom six (above) survived to adulthood, by the sister of Thomas Powell, Newburgh's wealthiest citizen. Having started life as a humble storekeeper, on his death Jacob left a will valued at $240,000.
