Hope Scott (1904-1995)

Leader of Philadelphia Society; Mrs. Helen "Hope" (Montgomery) Scott

She was best known as Hope Scott and Vanity Fair dubbed her the, "unofficial queen of Philadelphia's WASP oligarchy". The character Tracy Samantha Lord was modelled on her both in the movie "The Philadelphia Story" and the musical "High Society". As a debutante, she received four proposals all of which she turned down in favor of marrying Edgar Scott one year later when she was still just nineteen.
