Hector Mackenzie (1843-1901)

President of J.G. Mackenzie & Co., Dry Goods Merchants, Montreal

He was President of J.G. Mackenzie & Co. of Montreal; Director of the Hudson's Bay Company; Vice-President of the Merchants Bank; Vice-President of the Montreal Telegraph Company; and, President of the Montreal Philharmonic Society. He was one of the co-founders of Sir Rodolphe Forget's and Sir Herbert Holt's Montreal Light, Heat & Power Company but died in the same year. In 1870, he married Martha, daughter of Cyrus Alger Jr., of Boston, and they had three children.
