Mrs "Hattie" (Travers) Fearing

She was described at her wedding as "a very pretty and accomplished young woman". She was the elder sister of Mrs Ellen Duer whose daughter, Kitty, built the magnificent  Harbor Hill on Long Island. When Harriet's husband died, he left her a trust fund of $350,000, stating that she would probably not care to occupy The Orchard which he left to their only son. She died at the Hotel Victoria, Boston.
