George Dupont Pratt (1869-1935)
George D. Pratt, of New York; President of the American Forestry Commission etc.
He graduated from Amherst College (1893). He was a co-founder of the Boy Scouts; President of the American Forestry Association; Trustee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the American Museum of Natural History. He lived between 245 Clinton Avenue, Brooklyn, New York, and Killenworth at Glen Cove on Long Island. He was was married twice and had five children by his first wife of whom four (listed above) survived to adulthood after Constance Pratt died in 1906 aged nine weeks.
