Frederic Bronson Jr. (1851-1900)
Treasurer of the New York Life & Trust Company
He was born in New York City and was educated at Columbia College (1870) and Columbia Law School (1873). He became Treasurer of the New York Life & Trust Company which was founded by his grandfather, Isaac Bronson, and he was a director of the Savings Bank for Merchants' Clerks. He was a Trustee of Columbia University (1896-1900) and Manager of the Society for the Reformation of Juvenile Delinquents in the City of New York (1893-1900). Among the many clubs he belonged to he was President of the New York Coaching Club; Trustee of the City Club; and Vice-President of the Union Club. In 1875, he married Sarah, daughter of Archibald Gracie King and they had one daughter. He and his wife were among the Mrs Astor's "Four Hundred" and lived between 174 Madison Avenue in New York City and Verna in Connecticut.
