Epes Sargent (1690-1762)
Col. Epes Sargent, of Gloucester; Justice of the Massachusetts General Court
He was born at Gloucester, Massachusetts. He was married twice (1) In 1720, he married Hester, daughter of Christian McCarty, of Roxbury, Massachusetts. They had ten children, seven of whom (listed) lived to adulthood. (2) After she died, in 1744 he married Katherine, daughter of John Winthrop and widow of Samuel Browne. They had five further children, two of whom (listed) lived to adulthood.
