Elizabeth (Neall) Gay (1819-1907)
Mrs Elizabeth Johns (Neall) Gay
She was a granddaughter of the famous abolitionist Warner Mifflin. Like him, she was a Quaker and Abolitionist. She was also an advocate of Women's Rights advocate who in 1840 accompanied Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott to the World Anti-Slavery Convention in London that in turn inspired the U.S. women's movement when the Convention refused to seat the women delegates.
