Ebenezer Hayward Ferry (1864-1940)
E. Hayward Ferry, Banker, of 26 West 56th St., New York City & "Edgehill" Newport
He was closely involved with his wife's brother-in-law's (Arthur Curtiss James) business concerns as a director of the Phelps Dodge Corporation, the Curtiss Securities Company, Home Life Insurance Company of New York, the Northern Pacific Railway Company, Old Dominion Company, and the Copper Queen Consolidated Mining Company. In 1911, his brother-in-law, Arthur C. James, purchased "Edgehill" (pictured) at Newport which he gave use of to Hayward, his wife and their one daughter.
