Deane Winthrop (1623-1704)

Planter of Pullen Point & Winthrop, Massachusetts

He acquired the Pierce house and farm at Winthrop in 1647 and rebuilt most of the house in 1675. It is still intact and is maintained as a both a single family home and a museum. It is one of the oldest extent wood frame houses in the country the oldest continuously inhabited house in the United States.
